Technics SL-1700
Launched in 1978, the Technics SL-1700 was primarily designed for professional use. Its build quality allowed it to be used for long hours, with reliability. DJs and radio stations particularly praised its extremely fast start-up (an advantage due to the servo-controlled motor driven by an integrated circuit).
Other refinements include double-isolation suspensions that protect the turntable from unwanted vibrations, as well as a stroboscope and two pitch controls (one for each speed), ensuring flawless accuracy.
The difference between the SL-1700 and the SL-1600 (the most advanced model in the catalog) lies solely in the operating mode. Semi-automatic for the SL-1700, it becomes fully automatic in the SL-1600.
A beautiful, simple, efficient, reliable, and musical turntable. Another great success from Technics.
This turntable has been fully overhauled by our team of specialized technicians and is equipped with a SHURE N 92 E cartridge with a new stylus, MOGAMI RCA cables, REAN connectors, and a new ground wire. We have performed cleaning and adjustment of the tonearm and spindle, as well as recapping the speed control board.
