Marantz Model 15
A legend—nothing less! The Marantz Model 15 is a power amplifier that emerged in the late 1960s. Designed to accompany the Model 7 and 7T preamplifiers as well as the Model 10B tuner, it was praised upon release by the prestigious Stereo Review magazine, which deemed it superior to tube amplifiers!
While its distortion rate may seem high by today’s standards, test bench results show that the 0.1% figure is only reached at the upper end of the frequency spectrum. In the midrange, THD hovers around 0.07%. So it would be wrong to assume that the performance of this over-fifty-year-old amplifier is now outdated.
A true collector's item—and still a relevant piece of equipment today—it pairs perfectly with the Marantz 7T preamplifier.
