A high-end CD player, the D-500X’s boasts exceptional craftsmanship. Built within a copper-coated chassis, it features a champagne-anodized aluminum front panel with a subtle rose hue, an elegant display, and matching aluminum control buttons.

Its top-loading mechanism is reminiscent of the Studer D730, offering a floating structure fixed to a solid base to ensure excellent resistance to external vibrations.

Equipped with the Philips CDM-3 mechanism, the D-500X’s utilizes a high-precision DAC for digital-to-analog conversion.

The power supply features a high-capacity 100 VA transformer, with five separate windings dedicated to the DAC analog amplifier section, decoder, control, display, and accessories, ensuring completely independent power regulation for each section. The analog section’s power supply is further refined with electrostatic shielding inside the transformer.

The chassis is designed to be entirely non-resonant and vibration-free.

The wedge-shaped structure eliminates natural vibrations and torsion, ensuring exceptional stability against external vibrations. The main mechanism section features reinforced fiberglass plastic, a thick aluminum top panel, and wooden side panels, combining materials with different resonance properties to suppress vibrations. The internal design enhances rigidity with a dual-bottom plate structure, separating the mechanism, power supply, and signal system, along with a thick top panel for added stability.
