Harman Kardon 930
The Twin Power receivers from Harman/Kardon were unique thanks to their dual independent power supplies (transformers, rectifier bridges, and filter capacitors). This was an uncommon practice in the mid-to-late 1970s, typically found only in high-end integrated amplifiers. The advantages of this design were numerous: double current capacity, increased peak power, improved damping factor, and incredible channel separation.
Other brands, such as Marantz, promoted “Dual Power” systems, but these were not as sophisticated or truly independent as Harman/Kardon's Twin Power design. Instead, they used two secondary windings on a shared transformer core.
The HK 930 was the flagship model at its release. Its aesthetic design stood out from the rest of the lineup with a beautiful brushed aluminum finish, very bright and elegant, housed in a wooden casing.
This receiver offers all essential features, including two MM phono inputs, two AUX, two Tape inputs, and FM/AM tuning. It also allows for connecting two pairs of speakers and provides extensive usability through its Main In / Pre Out functions.
The tuner quality is another strong point, offering excellent sensitivity and musicality, making it a great choice for radio enthusiasts. The MM phono inputs are high-quality, and thanks to the Dual Power supply, the listening experience is exceptional, making it the choice of discerning audiophiles.
A must-have from the renowned American manufacturer Harman Kardon.
