Akai AA-920
AKAI is one of the Japanese giants of consumer HiFi, competing with brands like Sansui and Marantz, to name just a few. The AKAI AA-920 is a "Monster Receiver"-style unit, featuring superb build quality worthy of the best devices of its era, with a two-tone wood cabinet, solid aluminum front panel and knobs, and a stunning blue tuner dial.
The Akai AA-920 delivers 30 watts per channel into 8 ohms. It is equipped with two phono inputs, one auxiliary input, and two tape in/out connections (including one duplicated in DIN format). It also allows separate use of the preamplifier and power amplifier sections thanks to its "Pre Out – Main In" connections. Its two-band tone control is complemented by high and low filters and a Loudness mode.
This receiver amplifier offers a precise and balanced sound reproduction, with plenty of headroom to drive all types of vintage speakers.
